Business Analyst improve any and all business processes. They will usually divide up their time, working in their own offices, and their client's offices. Their clients come first, so they must travel frequently in between two locations, their client and their home.

A business analyst, has a huge responsible aimed at increasing the operational flow and effectiveness of their clients business. You must be very good at analyzing trends that will determine what strategies will be put into place to significantly increase revenue. When finished with your analysis of the companies operation, your reputation is on the line with the business plan you feel needs implemented.

Follow the outline of the resume below, but change it up some to make it your own. You want it to represent you personally, so the employer will contract you as their own business analyst.

Job Description:

Business analysts; propose different ways to help improve any organization's efficiency. Most are consultants who will advise corporate managers on how the company can become profitable by reducing their costs and also by increasing their revenues.

  1. Gather and organize information about the problem to be solved or the procedure to be improved
  2. Interview personnel and conduct on-site observations to determine the methods, equipment, and personnel that will be needed
  3. Analyze financial and other data, including revenue, expenditure, and employment reports, including, sometimes, building and using sophisticated mathematical models
  4. Develop solutions or alternative practices
  5. Recommend new systems, procedures, or organizational changes
  6. Make recommendations to management through presentations or written reports
  7. Confer with managers to ensure that the changes are working
